goop Live Podcast Recording
goop's audience, together in person for the first time.
goop's podcast reaches a large, loyal audience that lives in headphones and feeds. The opportunity wasn't to record another episode — it was to give that audience a reason to show up in person, and to build the night so it earned its keep.
AGENC produced goop's second live podcast recording as a ticketed evening in West Hollywood: an intimate on-stage conversation with Benny Blanco, timed to the launch of goop's new Vitamin C collection and wrapped in branded hospitality guests wanted to photograph and share
The idea
goop convening its community wasn’t new. The “In goop Health” summits we helped produce proved that years ago. What was new was the source. This time the room was built from the podcast audience: listeners who'd only ever met goop, its talent, and each other through a pair of headphones.
The live recording gave them exposure to the brand and to the talent on stage. But the piece that made it new and refreshing was quieter: it gave them exposure to each other. Digital listeners, alone in their headphones, became an IRL community — together, in one room, for one night.
Everything else was built to serve that. One marquee conversation, an intimate room, and a sequence of moments — a Chase-sponsored bar experience, a wellness activation by Beekeeper's Naturals, product woven through the space — that turned an audio format into a full sensory evening and a launch platform in one.Treat the taping as a destination, not a production. Where the night paid for itself
We designed the experience around three revenue engines, not one:
Live ticket sales. A paid audience turned reach into attendance, and attendance into direct revenue.
Sponsor integration. Chase and Beekeeper's Naturals weren't logos on a step-and-repeat — they were built into the guest experience, funding the night while extending each brand's own story.
Subscriber Club. The event doubled as an acquisition and retention moment for goop's membership, converting a one-night audience into an ongoing relationship.
That's the difference between an event that costs money and an event that makes it!
